Scapes - city, land and sea. Of great appeal are those that are open, rolling, not well-defined. I put down colors I enjoy. I encourage hues to run and blend to create forms and shapes that are pleasing. Occasionally, I will give detail to an area to allow the viewer to enter the painting, as I did in Raging Sea. Other Scapes remain obscure, allowing the blanks to be filled in according to a person's moods and life experiences. Scapes: explore them, define them!
